Batu Kawan Bhd'S pre-tax profit for the financial year ended Sept 30 increased to RM265.61mil compared with RM160.22mil in the previous year. Revenue dropped to RM151.36mil from RM154.91mil previously. 

For the fourth quarter ended Sept 30, its pre-tax profit rose to RM69.69mil from RM47.68mil in the corresponding quarter a year ago. Revenue grew to RM38.50mil from RM38.16mil previously. – Bernama 

PSC INDUSTRIES BHD'S net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30 fell to RM22.99mil from RM24.50mil in the same period last year. Revenue fell to RM152.82mil from RM280.18mil. 

For the nine months ended Sept 30, net profit increased to RM61.55mil from RM45.59mil in the year-ago corresponding period, although revenue fell to RM713.93mil from RM774.10mil. – Bernama  

MALAYSIAN OXYGEN BHD'S net profit for the fourth quarter ended Sept 30 rose to RM27.55mil from RM27.47mil in the corresponding quarter last year. Turnover fell to RM141.21mil from RM151.97mil. 

For the year ended Sept 30, net profit increased to RM109.75mil from RM89.63mil in the previous year. Turnover increased to RM554.53mil from RM499.73mil. – Bernama 

SUNWAY CONSTRUCTION BHD'S net profit for the third quarter ended Sept 30 increased to RM12.4mil from RM8.25mil in the corresponding quarter last year, and turnover to RM281.82mil from RM160.80mil. 

For the nine months ended Sept 30, net profit rose to RM34.41mil from RM22.19mil in the corresponding period last year.Revenue rose to RM802.24mil from RM362.12mil. – Bernama  

Property development firm INNOVEST BHD, currently under the financially weak category of PN4 condition, will be subject to trading restrictions from Thursday until further notice. 

In a statement, the KLSE said the trading restriction would be in the form of full payment before purchase. 

The trading restriction was in response to the company's failure to comply with PN4 rules, the exchange added. – AFX 

The KLSE said it would de-list FW INDUSTRIES BHD on Dec 8. The financially weak PN4 company had failed to submit its regularisation plans within the extended time given. 

FW Industries is involved in the manufacture of industrial plant and process engineering equipment and plant fabrication, and construction and related engineering works for diverse industries. – AFX 

ATIS CORP BHD is proposing a 3-for-10 bonus issue of 36 million new shares. 

In a statement, the company said the proposed bonus issue should be effected via the capitalisation of RM18mil from its share premium account. 

As of end-December 2002, the company's audited share premium account stood at RM22.22mil. 

Atis distributes industrial electrical, electronic and industrial hardware products, and also manufactures machinery and plastic moulding. – AFX 

Automotive batteries producer GPA HOLDINGS BHD said the KLSE had agreed to give the company a six-month extension until March 21 to comply with the public shareholding spread requirement. 

As of end-September this year, it had 687 members of the public as shareholders, which was below the required 1,000, GPA said in a statement. – AFX 

Discounted call service provider Redtone Telecommunications Sdn Bhd has placed 13 vending machines around the Klang Valley that dispense phone cards. 

Out of the 13, nine are at KL Monorail stations in Maharajalela, Hang Tuah, Imbi, Bukit Bintang, Raja Chulan, Bukit Nanas, Medan Tuanku, Tun Sambanthan and Sentral. 

The other four are at Giant Supermarkets in Shah Alam and Subang, and at Maybank Pusat Damansara and Starbucks at Mont Kiara. – Bernama
