SINGAPORE: Singapore Press Holdings Ltd has sold for S$118.9mil the 10,485-sq-m site on which the former headquarters of its 158-year-old English daily, The Straits Times, stands. The buyer is Marco Polo Developments Ltd, a mid-sized property developer controlled by Hong Kong’s Wheelock and Co Ltd.
SPH had invited bids last month for the site as part of plans to divest non-core assets.
