TOKYO: Japans top trading house, Mitsubishi Corp, has achieved a 39% rise in first-half net profit on the back of strong performances by its energy and metals divisions.
Mitsubishi, a major world supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) and one of Japans leading metals producers, reported yesterday its consolidated net profit for the six months to September came in at 60.56 billion yen (US$556.6mil) on 18.8% higher revenue of 7.512 trillion yen.
