SEOUL: Kia Motors Corp, South Koreas second largest vehicle maker, reported a 25% rise in quarterly earnings yesterday, buoyed by brisk sales of its pricey recreational models and smaller warranty provisions.
But Kias latest financial results reflected a deterioration versus the second quarter as it suffered poor overall sales due to weak local demand and the effects of a month-long strike.
