SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - Hyundai Motor Co., South Korea's largest automaker, said Tuesday its third-quarter sales dropped 19.1 percent to 5 trillion won (US$4.3 billion), suffering from weak domestic sales and a seven-week strike that disrupted operations until early August.
Its net profit, however, edged up 1.7 percent to 302 billion won (US$263 million) in the same period, thanks to lower corporate taxes this year, the company said in a news release.
