Nestle posts 9-month profit of RM124mil


Nestle Malaysia Bhd said its net profit for the nine months to September 2003 fell 21% to RM124.3mil from RM157.93mil a year ago, due mainly to impairment costs relating to the cessation of its sugar business. 

Sales for the nine months amounted to RM2bil, compared with RM1.97bil in the same period a year ago, while pre-tax profit stood at RM159.25mil against RM200.68mil previously.
