AirAsia Sdn Bhd has obtained a licence from the Thai government to operate domestic and cross-border air services and expects its maiden flight to take off from Bangkok as early as January next year.
The new no-frills air service would be operated by AirAsia Thailand, a joint-venture company owned 49% by AirAsia and 51% by a Thai firm.
