HSBC Holdings plc, the London-based parent of HSBC Bank (M) Bhd, is set to shift a significant number of jobs from Britain to its new operational headquarters in Cyberjaya, its largest in the region.
In a move to cut costs and boost efficiency, the worlds second largest bank by market capitalisation is moving some 4,000 jobs out of its home base to lower-cost global service centres that it has set up in India, China and Malaysia.
