ADELAIDE: Rupert Murdoch’s News Corp media empire forecast yesterday an average annual earnings growth of 20% in the coming years, underpinned by a healthy pick-up in US television advertising.

Executive chairman Murdoch also said the company would consider increasing its tiny dividend payout – long a complaint of Australian shareholders – on the back of the earnings outlook and an absence of plans for further acquisitions this year.
