RECENT development and sustained economic recovery point towards stronger growth in the second half of 2003, with fiscal expenditure in education, health and infrastructure continuing to support growth, Aseambankers said.
Given the resilience of the economy, the expected improvement in the external environment and the positive effects of the government's economic package, growth is expected to strengthen in the second half of 2003, well into 2004 and beyond.
