PARIS: French media group Vivendi Universal and US conglomerate General Electric (GE) have signed a final deal to merge their show business assets, creating a US$43bil entertainment powerhouse.
Under a deal originally outlined last month, GE's television network NBC will take control of Vivendis Hollywood studio, cable channels and theme parks, placing it among the ranks of global titans such as Walt Disney Co and Viacom.
