SEOUL: Hyundai Motor Co plans to be the first South Korean vehicle maker to set up a car assembly plant in Thailand as it struggles to catch up with its Japanese rivals in the South-East Asian market.
South Korea’s largest vehicle maker is seeking a local partner and site to build a plant to assemble completely knocked-down kits next year, according to company spokesman Jake Jang.
