TOKYO: Japan’s top banks have settled a tax dispute with the Tokyo city government which is expected to bring them a 193 billion yen (US$1.74bil) windfall.
The out-of-court settlement is expected to become final on Oct 8, when the banks and the Tokyo city government are due to appear at the Supreme Court.
