IRKUT Corp will establish a maintenance centre for servicing SUKHOI fighter jets in Malaysia by 2006, according to president Alexey I. Fedorov.

“The maintenance centre will be a joint-venture effort with a local partner. The Malaysian government is now in the process of identifying a suitable local partner,” he told StarBiz at the 7th Langkawi International Maritime and Aerospace (LIMA) air show yesterday.
