ISLAND & Peninsular Bhd (I&P) expects a pre-tax profit of between RM150mil and RM200mil in 2005 following completion of its proposed merger with the property arm of Golden Hope Plantations Bhd.
I&P managing director Dr Radzuan Abdul Rahman said the merger was expected to be completed by May next year, and by the financial year ending January 2005, the company would be able to take account of the full impact of the exercise.
