SEOUL: South Korea’s consumer electronics giants, led by LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics, reportedly plan to set up shop in Iraq as soon as the security situation there stabilises.
The Yonhap news agency quoted LG Electronics as saying it would soon send officials to establish a sales office in Baghdad in a bid to expand its market base in the Middle East. Samsung Electronics is said to have similar plans but would staff its Baghdad office only with Iraqi personnel. – AP
