SCIENTEX INCORPORATION BHD has recorded a pre-tax profit of RM11.14mil in the fourth quarter ended July 31, compared with RM10.25mil in the previous corresponding period.  

Revenue was also higher at RM250mil versus RM200mil previously. – Bernama 

WOVENTEX CORP BHD has posted a pre-tax profit increase to RM849,000 in the fourth quarter ended July 31 from RM660,000 in the same period last year.  

Its revenue came in at RM46.63mil in the quarter under review compared with RM39.24mil previously. – Bernama 

OYL INDUSTRIES BHD'S wholly-owned subsidiary AAF Group Pte Ltd has incorporated a wholly-owned unit in China known as AAF (Wuhan) Co Ltd to undertake the business of manufacturing, selling of power and industrial filtration, acoustical, exhaust products and services covering pollution control, power, filtration and related industries together with related products. – Bernama 

Salcon Bhd has reported a pre-tax profit of RM7.1mil in the fourth quarter ended July 31 on revenue of RM7.5mil. – Bernama 

KUMPULAN EMAS BHD'S interest in Tomisho Holdings Bhd has risen to 19.45% as of Sept 17 from 14.96% after subscribing to the latter's renounceable rights issue. 

Tomisho had made a 1-for-1 renounceable rights issue of up to 43.58 million new shares with up to 43.58 million free detachable warrants 2003/2013 at an issue price of RM1 per share. – AFX        

Berjaya Sports Toto Bhd (BToto) has posted a profit after tax of RM73.9mil for its first quarter ended July 31 on higher revenues of RM583.9mil.  

For the corresponding period a year ago, its profit after tax was RM64.6mil on revenue of RM517.4mil. 

BToto's profit from operations improved to RM98.1mil from RM81.3mil a year ago. However, its earnings per share were lower at 9.71 sen compared with 12.03 sen previously. 

NAM FATT CORP BHD said that Nam Fatt Sdn Bhd, its wholly-owned subsidiary, is currently negotiating with Gerbang Perdana Sdn Bhd on the terms of a contract to build the new Customs, Immigration and Quarantine (CIQ) complex in Johor Baru. 

The company said it would make an appropriate announcement if a contract was entered into, it said in a reply to a KLSE query yesterday.  

Nam Fatt Sdn Bhd was reported to have won the contract valued at RM500mil. – Bernama
