Innovative tiles showroom

White Horse Bhd's Ceramic World is indeed unique. Spread over 30,000 sq ft, the showroom is the largest of its kind in Malaysia and offers visitors innovative concept of tile display in a spacious and relaxed setting. 

The showroom showcases the extensive range of White Horse tiles of over 1,000 different designs in creating that desired ambience. Ceramic World has 200 actual mock-up units, including two complete studio apartments; with each unit displaying the best tile combinations of matching colours, texture and style, be it for the kitchen, bathroom, dining room, the porch area, or wherever tiles could be used for practical or beautification purposes. 

Visitors could also view White Horse Multi-Effect Granite Tiles ranging from modern contemporary to subtle country charm and the latest range of Full Concept tiles in sheer natural designs. 

With such diverse ranges in display, visitors would literally be spoilt for choice. Thus, to assist its visitors, White Horse provides complementary professional advice by expert consultants on interior tile design and styling. These services indicate the company's commitment to customer satisfaction, according to White Horse executive chairman Liao Yuan Shun. 

”Contractors like to bring their customers to our showroom. This not only helps end-users to better visualise and choose the tiles that best suit their needs and tastes but it also gives them renovation ideas,” Liao said, adding that White Horse tiles were on par with if not better than those made by the Italians and Spaniards.

The showroom, which opened in June, has been very well received, and has helped White Horse increase its second quarter sales in Klang Valley by 30%, compared to the quarter before.  

White Horse expects sales in the southern region of the peninsular to increase when its second showroom opens in Johor Baru by the end of the year.  

When fully completed, the JB showroom will occupy up to 47,000 sq ft.  

The total cost of the JB showroom, would be around RM5mil, while White Horse had spent close to RM2mil in refurbishing its Kuala Lumpur marketing office to create the showroom environment of Ceramic World

The company had allocated RM20mil for the setting up of tile showrooms nationwide over a period of three years. 

White Horse’s turnover for the first half of the year grew 5% to RM140mil from RM132.9mil in the previous corresponding six-months. It had a turnover of RM273.7mil last year. 

For the current financial year ending Dec 31, White Horse expects to achieve sales growth of at least 10% over the previous year.
