DUBAI: The world economy is showing signs of life but the pace and strength of the recovery is still unclear and policy-makers cannot afford to drop their guard, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) said yesterday.
In its semi-annual World Economic Outlook released here ahead of its annual meetings, the IMF maintained its world growth forecast of 3.2% for 2003 and a more robust expansion of 4.1% next year.
