  • Ta Ann Holdings Bhd’S board does not expect the damage caused by a fire to have any impact on the group’s profitability, it said in its filing to the Exchange on Monday. 

    A small section of its coated plywood plant and about RM6mil in stocks was damaged by fire. The plant and stock were covered by insurance, the company said.  

    The board is confident that the repair work will be carried out promptly and production will be resumed soon. – Bernama  

  • TRUTECH HOLDINGS BHD'S wholly-owned subsidiary TruTech Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd has signed a sale and purchase agreement with Toh Ah Chaw to dispose of its entire 20.7% equity interest in Cinch Electronics Pte Ltd (CEPL) for S$496,704.  

    CEPL is involved in the manufacture and distribution of electronics data products. The disposal will enable TruTech to generate cashflow to be utilised for repayment of borrowings. – Bernama 

  • LB Aluminium Bhd has reported a lower pre-tax profit of RM4.23mil for the quarter ended July 31, from RM4.60mil in the previous corresponding period The revenue was higher at RM48.80mil compared with RM40.11mil previously. – Bernama 

  • FOCAL AIMS HOLDINGS BHD through its wholly-owned subsidiary Vital Universal Sdn Bhd has entered into a sale and purchase agreement with Vital Universal Cables Sdn Bhd for the disposal of a piece of land in Kajang and a factory building in Seri Kembangan for a total consideration of RM1.2mil. – Bernama 

  • MATRIX INTERNATIONAL BHD’S pre-tax profit for the first quarter ended July 31, decreased to RM2.42mil from RM5.29mil in the same period last year. Net profit also declined to RM1.25mil from RM2.47mil previously. Turnover also dropped to RM41.36mil from RM62.336mil previously. – Bernama
