ING Financial Markets believes the KLSE Composite Index (CI) would reach 870 points within the next 12 months as reforms in the corporate and regulatory environment, together with a better economy, make conditions for equity investments favourable.
Head of research Malaysia equity markets Uday Jayaram said the KLSE had been underperforming for most of the year compared with other Asian markets, and that foreign interest in and awareness of KLSE stocks were expected to increase over the next 12 months.
