THE Association of Banks in Malaysia sees the recent Budget as a move to build on existing core competencies while mapping out the longer-term strategy for economic growth, said chairman Dr Rozali Mohamed Ali.
“After six years of shouldering the role of driving the economy, it is only fair that the Government plays a less expansionary role now and passes on the responsibility of being the engine of growth to the private sector,” he added.
