THE government has proposed several tax incentives for foreign direct investment (FDI) in the service sector to encourage more multinational companies to set up operations in the country, particularly in the Mutimedia Super Corridor (MSC).
Noting that FDI had in the past focus-ed on the manufacturing sector, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Mahathir Mohamad said the new incentives were aimed at attracting FDI to the services sector, especially those with high value-added potential.
