BEIJING: Chinese state banks are pushing for approval of reforms and fresh bailout money to pave the way for share offerings ahead of an expected influx of foreign competition, bank officials and media said on Wednesday.
The Big Four state banks, which have nearly 70% of the market, are preparing to take on international banks at home in three years when China is due to open its vast yuan business under World Trade Organisation promises.
