HSBC Bank Malaysia Bhd is in discussions with a number of multinational corporations (MNCs) which are interested in moving their regional operational headquarters (OHQs) to Malaysia, attracted by the recently enacted 10% concessionary tax rate and generous incentives for research and development work done locally.
The bank, which is offering to support MNCs in establishing shared service centres that offer facilities like common finance and treasury services in one location for the entire region, has identified several companies that are keen to set up such centres in Malaysia.
