Fears of new SARS outbeak dampen market sentiment

SHARE prices on the KLSE slipped further yesterday, led by the poor performance of some index-linked counters, particularly Resorts World Bhd, Genting Bhd and Tanjong plc. 

Analysts said the market was reacting to a report yesterday of a confirmed SARS case in Singapore. Investors sold on fears that it could result in a repeat of the crisis early this year.
