A WAIVER on sales tax for all small- and medium-sized industries (SMIs) and service tax for the tourism industry could help further stimulate domestic consumption, said SMI Association of Malaysia president Looi Teong Chye.
According to Looi, the association welcomes any measures by the government to waive sales tax for all SMIs and service tax for the tourism industry for a year or two in the upcoming budget.
