UNIVERSITI Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar) will organise a one-day seminar entitled Rethinking Marketing: The New Sustainable Marketing Enterprise Model on Sept 12 in Petaling Jaya.
It said in a statement that the event would be based on Asia's best-selling book, Rethinking Marketing: Sustainable Marketing Enterprise in Asia co-authored by Philip Kotler, Hermawan Kartajaya, Dr Hooi Den Huan and Dr Sandra Liu.
Kartajaya will offer a fresh perspective to entrepreneurs and academicians on understanding how successful business enterprises are managed in Asia. Models and frameworks for effective business strategies will be presented with a host of marketing, management and strategy theories with Asian business philosophy, Utar said.
Essential substance coupled with entertaining delivery makes this event a must for all who plan and implement market-oriented business strategies for their organisations.
Kartajaya is the founder and president of MarkPlus & Co, a leading strategy consulting firm in Asia. He has co-authored with Kotler his top-rated book Repositioning Asia: From Bubble to Sustainable Economy, which was also rated as one of the Asian bestsellers and received a five-star rating from Amazon.com.
He created the Sustainable Marketing Enterprise model, the core concept of his latest book Rethinking Marketing.
Kartajaya is the founder of the Asian GLOBE -- the Jakarta CEO Club -- and plays significant roles in many professional organisations. Apart from being the former president of the Indonesia Marketing Association (1996-2002) and Asia Pacific Marketing Federation (1998-2002), he is the governor of the Asia Pacific Marketing Federation Foundation and president of the World Marketing Association (2002-2004).
