  • SUNWAY HOLDINGS INC BHD (SunInc) has reported a pre-tax profit of RM32.6mil for the second quarter ended June 30 compared with a pre-tax loss of RM2.7mil during the same period last year. 

    Revenue rose to RM346.5mil from RM245.5mil previously. 

    SunInc posted a net profit of RM21.6mil, or 5.34 sen per share, from a net loss of RM9.7mil or 2.39 sen per share previously. 

    For the cumulative six-months to June, SunInc posted a pre-tax profit of RM53.6mil and a net profit of RM33.3mil, or 8.23 sen per share. 

    The company said every segment of the group contributed positively to its earnings. 

  • ESSO MALAYSIA BHD'S pre-tax profit for the second quarter increased to RM104.24mil from RM3.56mil in the corresponding period of the preceding year. 

    Net profit soared to RM73.41mil from RM2.69mil as turnover increased to RM1.15bil from RM986.18mil. 

    For the six months ended June 30, its pre-tax profit increased to RM84.82mil from RM18.02mil in the previous corresponding period, while net profit was up to RM59.43mil from RM12.65mil. 

    Turnover rose to RM2.38bil from RM1.81bil. – Bernama  

  • IGB CORP BHD recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM40.79mil for the second quarter ended June 30, against RM23.65mil for the same period last year. It posted a higher revenue of RM119.64mil compared with RM96.91mil before. – Bernama 

  • BOLTON BHD recorded a lower pre-tax profit of RM3.692mil for the second quarter ended June 30, as opposed to RM4.491mil for the corresponding period last year. 

    Revenue was lower at RM33.101mil compared with RM50.049mil for the same period. – Bernama 

  • LION DIVERSIFIED HOLDINGS BHD posted a pre-tax profit of RM13.73mil for the fourth quarter ended June 30, against a pre-tax loss of RM5.95mil last year. Revenue was higher at RM181.3mil versus RM173.4mil in 2002. – Bernama 

  • KIMBLE CORP BHD posted a higher pre-tax profit of RM4.58mil for the second quarter ended June 30, from RM4.49mil in the previous corresponding quarter. Revenue grew to RM39.91mil against RM37.92mil in 2002. – Bernama 

  • K&N KENANGA BHD recorded a lower pre-tax profit of RM60,000 for the second quarter ended June 30, compared with RM213,000 in the same quarter last year. Revenue however rose to RM1.635mil versus RM1.196mil in 2002. – Bernama  

  • PALETTE MULTIMEDIA BHD posted a pre-tax profit of RM56,000 for the second quarter ended June 30 unchanged from the same period last year. 

    However, it registered a lower revenue of RM2.27mil against RM4.75mil previously. – Bernama 

  • Hup Seng Industries Bhd recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM9.24mil for the second quarter ended June 30 as opposed to RM4.83mil for the previous corresponding period.  

    It registered a higher revenue of RM46.22mil versus RM42.36mil previously. – Bernama 

  • MINPLY HOLDINGS (M) BHD recorded a lower pre-tax loss of RM1.56mil for the second quarter ended June 30 against RM2.05mil in the previous corresponding period. Its revenue was lower at RM14.83mil compared with RM19.36mil. – Bernama 

  • JOHOR PORT BHD posted a higher pre-tax profit of RM27.38mil for the second quarter ended June 30 as opposed to RM27.32mil in the same period last year. It registered a higher revenue of RM77.59mil versus RM71.49mil previously. – Bernama 

  • BANENG HOLDINGS BHD recorded a pre-tax profit of RM2.69mil on a revenue of RM79.04mil for the second quarter ended June 30. – Bernama 

  • Land & General Bhd registered a pre-tax loss of RM6.86mil for the second quarter ended June 30 compared with a pre-tax profit of RM1.24mil in the previous corresponding quarter. 

    It posted a lower revenue of RM52.82mil against RM64.62mil. Bernama 

  • JERNEH ASIA BHD recorded a higher pre-tax profit of RM12.77mil for the second quarter ended June 30 as opposed to RM11.34mil in the same period of 2002. 

    It posted a higher revenue of RM42.81mil versus RM37.66mil previously. – Bernama 

     

  • Revenue rose to RM346.5mil from RM245.5mil previously.
