  • Gadang: THIS second board construction outfit attracted strong investor interest yesterday on expectations it would receive a letter of award for the Tioman Island airport expansion project in October. The company, which has an order book of RM190mil, closed 43 sen, or 25.3%, higher at RM2.13 on heavy volume of 21.9 million shares.

  • Ranhill: Shares in this construction and engineering company have been getting investor support, thanks to Ranhill's ability to turn in new contracts. Recently, the group said it is bidding for RM10bil worth of water, highway and power projects in North Africa and Asia. Analysts say that given its good management the group stands a good chance of succeeding in its tenders. The counter closed at RM5.10, up 26 sen or 5.4%.
