INTEL Corp is investing US$40mil (RM157mil) in a new technology and design facility in Penang to develop assembly and testing processes for chipsets and non-CPU packaging technology for its manufacturing sites worldwide.
“The centre, PG12, will create job opportunities in silicon design as well as in assembly and test technology development,” Intel chief executive officer Datuk Dr Craig Barrett said during a question and answer session.
