JAKARTA: Banks face declining interest revenue this year, as the downward trend of Bank Indonesia certificate rates (SBI) is eating into the bulk of the sector’s revenue, said Deutsche Bank chief country officer for Indonesia, Suresh L Narang.
For now, banks’ revenue from government bonds was shrinking faster than growth in loan revenue, he said.
