SINGAPORE: Prime Minister Goh Chok Tong says the Singapore economy is taking longer than usual to recover and has projected a slower growth of 0% to 1% this year.
Over the last six years, he said Singapore had suffered successive blows ranging from the Asian financial crisis, the recession in 2001, the Jemaah Islamiah terror plot and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARs) outbreak this year.
