VALUAIR Pte Ltd, a company set up by former Singapore Airlines (SIA) executives with the aim of running a budget carrier, has applied for a licence to operate commercial services out of the city-state.
Albert Tjoeng, a spokesman for the Civil Aviation Authority of Singapore, which runs Changi Airport, said yesterday aviation officials had met with ValuAir to discuss its plans.
