SINGAPORE: Loss-making ST Assembly Test Services Ltd, Asia's fifth largest microchip tester, said yesterday it has appointed a new chief financial officer, Dov Oshri, to hasten its return to profitability. He takes over from Pearlyne Wang. 

Oshri was previously the vice-president for finance and operations at Nasdaq-listed Orbotech Ltd, which makes optical-inspection systems for producers of printed circuit boards and flat-panel displays, and chief financial officer of American Israeli Paper Mills Ltd.
