CAHB’s Indon bank H1 profit quadrupled

PT Bank Niaga, an Indonesian lender controlled by Commerce Asset-Holding Bhd (CAHB), said its unaudited profit had almost quadrupled for the six months ended June 30 on higher interest income. 

Bank Niaga reported a net profit of 212.6 billion rupiah (US$25mil) for the six months compared with 56.4 billion rupiah in the year-ago period. It did not provide earnings per share figures in the faxed statement.
