HLI places out 2.5% of MPI shares


Hong Leong Industries Bhd (HLI) said it has placed out five million shares or a 2.51% stake in Malaysian Pacific Industries Bhd (MPI) to various investors via direct business transactions for RM72mil, or at RM14.40 per MPI share. 

HLI said in a statement that as a result its interest in MPI was cut to 116.609 million shares, or 58.62%, as at July 28 from 121.609 million shares previously.
