Developing countries should step up efforts to build their own multinational corporations (MNCs) and brand names in order to play a dominant role in the world economy, according to China's chief negotiator Long Yongtu.
He said developing countries should in the future have MNCs that were able to compete head-on with those in the developed nations, which were now in the control of the global economy.
