Zainal Abidin elected Maicsa fellow

MANAGEMENT consultant Zainal Abidin Pit has been elected a Fellow of the Malaysian Association of the Institute of Chartered Institute of Secretaries and Administrators (Maicsa). 

He has been an associate member of Miacsa since 1993, a council member since December 2002 and is the current honorary treasurer, Maicsa said in a statement.

He is also a member of the Institute of Company Secretaries of Malaysia and of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia. 

Zainal conducts lectures on company law, secretarial practice and law of meetings for Maicsa, the department of continuing education, University Malaya, the Open University and other training institutions. 

He was previously the general manager for finance and administration and group secretary of Mahkota Technologies Sdn Bhd, formerly the General Electric Company of Malaysia Sdn Bhd. 

Zainal, who is also a director of all Mahkota Technologies subsidiaries, was previously attached to Kinta Kellas plc, (a member of the Renong Group) as head of its finance division before setting up his own management consultancy, ZAP Management Services Sdn Bhd.
