THE strong price upswing seen in oil & gas-related counters earlier this month appears to have fizzled out in the past few days. Most of these stocks, which had surged recently on conceptual play, are now heading south.

Yesterday, selling pressure was noted on counters such as Crest Petroleum Bhd (down 15 sen to RM6.10), Trenergy Bhd (20 sen lower to RM3.14), Scomi Bhd (off 28 sen to RM4.20), Petra Perdana Bhd (10 sen lower to RM5.60) and Wah Seong Bhd (12 sen down to RM1.47).
