MAXIS Communications Bhd, together with Australia's Telstra, China Netcom and Singapore's Starhub, announced yesterday a trial period for wireless broadband roaming. Korea Telecom will participate by the end of the year.
Under the trial, wireless broadband customers from participating operators all founding members of the Wireless Broadband Alliance, launched in March can roam internationally, at no additional charge, at hundreds of these companies' wireless broadband hotspots, until the end of October.
