BenQ to focus on high-value goods locally


BENQ Corp, formerly known as Acer Communications & Mul- timedia, will focus on technology-intensive products at its plants in Malaysia while relocating its labour-intensive activities to China. 

Its chairman and chief executive officer Datuk K.Y. Lee said over the last five years, BenQ had relocated labour-intensive products such as keyboards and CD-ROM to its largest manufacturing plant in Suzhou, China, due to the abundance of resources there.
