Australia's News Corp. eyeing stake in Indian arm of US-based Hughes Electronics


NEW DELHI, India (AP) - Australia's News Corp. has offered to buy a 20 percent stake in the Indian software arm of U.S.-based Hughes Electronics Corp., a news report said Monday. 

News Corp. has offered to buy 6.73 million shares of Hughes Software Systems for 1.56 billion rupees (US$33.6 million) in cash, Dow Jones Newswires reported.
