Sime Darby Bhd's tyre division is projecting revenue to grow to RM1bil in its current financial year from RM850mil in the year ended June 30, 2003.
Although tyre sales were badly affected earlier in the year by the Iraq war and the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome outbreak, the division had seen a slight recovery in the past month, especially in the commercial vehicles sector, said Sime Darby Tyre Manufacturing divisional director Ahmad Zubir Murshid.
