  • ALCATEL Network Systems (M) Sdn Bhd has appointed Datuk Dr Norraesah Mohamad its chairman. The appointment is its first such since the company's incorporation in 1992. 

    Norraesah is also the executive chairman of Compass Strategic Advisory Sdn Bhd and Sinagama IT Sdn Bhd, and chairman of TMS Solution Sdn Bhd. She also sits on the boards of several listed and non-listed companies. 

    Over the past 31 years, she has held several senior positions in the government and private sectors. Previous chairmanship positions for Norraesah include those at Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Bhd and Angkasaraya Development Bhd. 

  • Telekom Malaysia Bhd has appointed Jaffa Sany Ariffin as group finance chief financial officer with effect from July 1. 

    Jaffa, who was previously chief financial officer of Pernas International Holdings Bhd, is a chartered accountant with a bachelor of economics in accounting and finance (hons.) from the London School of Economics. 

    Jaffa, 37, is also a fellow of the Chartered Association of Certified Accountants (Britain) and a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants. He has worked with PricewaterhouseCoopers, Renong group, Tenaga Nasional Bhd and Port of Tanjung Pelepas. 

  • Dialog Group Bhd has announced four senior appointments. 

    The group said it had promoted Mustaffa Kamal Abu Bakar as chief executive officer of Dialog Plant Services Sdn Bhd with effect from June 18. Mustaffa has a bachelor's degree in science from Nevada-Reno University and 15 years of working experience in the oil, gas and petrochemical industries. 

    Danny Ang Choong Poh joined Dialog Plant Services as chief operating officer on June 18. Ang has more than 20 years of experience in plant turnaround and maintenance, including hands-on experience in the construction and fabrication industries. 

    Dialog also appointed Alizan Ab Manan as head of marketing and business development on July 1. He had worked with TNB, Esso Production Malaysia Inc and KTA Tenaga before joining Dialog in 1998. 

    Dialog had also appointed Hamdan Saleh as business head of catalysts and radioisotope diagnostic services on July 1. 

    He would be responsible for the development and marketing of the services in Malaysia and overseas.
