Pentamaster IPO 5.5 times oversubscribed

Pentamaster Corp Bhd's initial public offer (IPO) has attracted 10,238 applications for 19.46 million shares for the three million available for public subscription, representing an over-subscription rate of 5.49 times. 

A total of 4,441 applications for 6.14 million shares were received for the 900,000 shares under the bumiputra category, which represents an over-subscription of 5.83 times, while under the public category 5,797 applications for 13.3 million shares were received for an over-subscription of 5.34 times. 

Malaysian Issuing House Sdn Bhd said the placement agent had also confirmed that a further offer for sale of 2.47 million shares of Pentamaster, which is bound for a listing on the KLSE second board, had been fully placed out.
