ST ASSEMBLY Test Services Ltd, the third largest chip tester in the world, is opening a facility in Shanghai to take advantage of the increasing outsourcing business for semiconductors in China.
The plant, ST Assembly’s first in China, will involve an initial cash investment of US$10mil, the bulk of which will be invested next year.
