Renewed interest in KLSE

The past few days of very strong gains on the KLSE are bringing back smiles on the faces of stock market investors. With renewed interest and optimism in the market, punters are steadily trooping into the viewing galleries of stockbroking houses again, to share 'hot' tips and talk about the gains to be made.

Institutional funds are still leading the pack at the moment, but once the upward trend becomes more pronounced, retail players are expected to stream into the market in greater numbers. The viewing galleries may not be as packed as in the days of the bull run in 1993, but the crowds yesterday were noticeably thicker than in months past, and definitely more buoyant.
