LONDON: Media moguls are jostling for position as the deadline nears for bids for Vivendi Universal’s US entertainment empire, which includes some of Hollywood’s best-known assets.
The Universal Studios film, TV and theme park business – home to movies like the The Hulk and Bruce Almighty – is expected to raise in excess of US$10bil, having drawn interest from Hollywood veterans including former owner Edgar Bronfman Jr and MGM’s Kirk Kerkorian.
