Tanjong plans Berlin resort

TANJONG plc is bidding for 500ha near Berlin, Germany, which it plans to develop into an indoor “tropical island” resort. 

The company said in a statement last evening it had submitted a conditional bid for the land to the liquidator of CargoLifter AG, which owns the site in Brand, 60km south of Berlin. Tanjong said it was also bidding for certain other assets of CargoLifter, including a large free-standing hangar on the property. However, it did not disclose the bid price.
